Land Rover enthusiasts and collectors – here’s a rare opportunity!
I’m selling my 1975 Land Rover Series III, short-wheelbase 88", formerly used by the Belgian Army (ABL). It has been preserved in its original military configuration, with several authentic military features still present, including the 24V electrical system, night-vision wiring, and more.
A rare, authentic vehicle with plenty of character.
✅ Engine & Mechanical
- 2.25L petrol engine fully rebuilt
- Only 30 km driven since the complete rebuild
Invoices available – over €15,000 invested at Cartek in Kortrijk, a recognised Land Rover specialist + the buying price of the car itself + many more accessories and parts :
- Engine and gearbox removed
- Complete engine rebuild: cylinder head resurfaced, block rebored and sleeved, new pistons, piston rings, gaskets, connecting rod bearings, etc.
- Replacement of hoses, headlights, water pump, oil pump, suspension bushes and thermostat
- New clutch: pressure plate, clutch disc, master cylinder, flywheel bush and release bearing
- Front and rear brakes fully rebuilt: master cylinders, brake servo, hoses, brake shoes and springs
- Carburettor serviced
- Radiator refurbished
- Two new 12V batteries
- Ignition system replaced
- Recent Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003 off-road tyres
Overall Condition
- Chassis and bodywork are very solid, with no structural/perforating rust
- Technical inspection passed in October 2024 without any remarks, apart from some minor surface rust on one rear pillar
- Oil change and all fluids replaced in March 2025, following the repair of a few minor post-restoration leaks

- Bodywork to be completed: paintwork and panel alignment
- Interior finishing
- Instrument adjustment/calibration (rev counter and speedometer)

- Registered in my name since October 2024
- Registration documents in order (Belgian papers)
