1970 MGB with 5-Speed Gearbox and Overhauled Engine

A few years ago, the car underwent a thorough restoration and was professionally resprayed in its original 'Flame Red' color. The interior received a stylish upgrade to real leather seats instead of the standard vinyl, complemented by a Mohair convertible top and a wind deflector.
The ultimate highlight of this MGB is the installed Mazda MX-5 5-speed transmission, a highly sought-after upgrade worth €4,000 to €5,000. This makes shifting gears super fun and reliable. Thanks to that extra gear, it cruises effortlessly on the highway at 110 to 120 km/h, making it ideal for longer road trips.
Mechanically, it is also in top shape. The engine was overhauled a few years ago by Ivor Searle and tuned on a rolling road in England. It has been upgraded with electronic ignition, the carburetors have been rebuilt, and thanks to the sports exhaust, it has a wonderfully sporty sound.
The car comes with an extensive history and plenty of invoices. The previous owner bought it in Virginia (USA) while living there for work and brought it back to Europe around 2010.
