Offered for sale is an unrestored and remarkably well-preserved 1973 Datsun 240Z with just three owners from new.
The previous owner acquired the car in 1985 (reportedly from the original owner), and it spent its life in the dry climates of Oregon and Colorado, helping to preserve its exceptional condition. I purchased the car in 2022, imported it to Belgium, and have since invested significantly to make it a reliable, enjoyable driver's car while carefully preserving its originality.
The 240z has been very much loved and the original vision was to prepare the car for an overland adventure across Asia, with an emphasis on reliability and drivability rather than restoration. Unfortunately, a growing family has changed those plans, and we now require a vehicle with more space.
Since my ownership, the car has undergone a comprehensive mechanical refresh by VA Motorsport (The Netherlands), a specialist well known for classic Japanese cars. The work focused on reliability and driving dynamics while respecting the car's preserved character.

- Front and rear suspension completely removed, cleaned, treated, refinished, and rebuilt with new polyurethane bushings and ball joints
- New fuel tank from S30.world
- SSR MKIII wheels (14×7.5 ET-6) and SSR MKII wheels (14×7.5 ET0) + original wheels
- Yokohama HF Type D tires (205/60R14), fitted in summer 2024
- New seat belts
- New S30.world door weatherstrips
A detailed spreadsheet documenting every part installed—including descriptions, purchase dates, costs, labor hours, and installation expenses—will be provided to the buyer, together with all supporting invoices.
The car benefits from a transparent ownership history that is not easy to find in +50 years old vehicle. It is an honest example that has never been disguised or cosmetically restored to hide imperfections.
Before the sale, the car is undergoing a service at a Brussels-based classic car specialist, including fresh engine oil, oil filter replacement, and a general mechanical inspection, ensuring it is ready to be enjoyed immediately.
