The Aventador LP700-4 was the first Lamborghini in series production with a full carbon fibre monocoque. That chassis weighs 147.5 kg on its own, contributes to a kerb weight of 1,765 kg and is 90 kg lighter than the Murciélago it replaced. The 6.5 litre V12 produces 700 ps at 8,250 rpm and 690 Nm at 5,500 rpm, sent through a seven-speed ISR gearbox to all four wheels. That ISR is not a dual-clutch but a single-clutch robotised gearbox that shifts in 50 milliseconds and weighs half as much as a comparable DCT. The front suspension is a pushrod setup taken directly from Formula 1. A 2016 example is the final production year of the LP700-4 before Lamborghini replaced it with the LP740-4 S. This example is finished in New Giallo Orion.
Fun fact: Lamborghini deliberately chose the ISR over a dual-clutch gearbox. The ISR weighs half as much as a comparable DCT and has the compact dimensions of a standard manual gearbox, directly contributing to the low overall weight and low centre of gravity.

De Aventador LP700-4 was de eerste Lamborghini in serieproductie met een volledig koolstofvezel monocoque. Dat chassis weegt 147,5 kg op eigen kracht, draagt bij aan een massa in rijklare toestand van 1.765 kg en is 90 kg lichter dan de Murciélago die hij verving. De 6,5 liter V12 levert 700 pk bij 8.250 toeren en 690 Nm bij 5.500 toeren, via een zeventraps ISR versnellingsbak naar alle vier de wielen. Die ISR is geen dubbele koppeling maar een enkelvoudige robotversnellingsbak die in 50 milliseconden schakelt en de helft weegt van een vergelijkbare DCT. De voorwielophanging is een pushrod constructie rechtstreeks overgenomen uit de Formule 1. Een 2016 exemplaar is het laatste productiejaar van de LP700-4 voor Lamborghini hem verving door de LP740-4 S. Dit exemplaar staat in New Giallo Orion.
Leuk detail: Lamborghini koos bewust voor de ISR boven een dubbele koppelingsversnellingsbak. De ISR weegt de helft van een vergelijkbare DCT en heeft de compacte afmetingen van een gewone handgeschakelde bak, wat rechtstreeks bijdraagt aan het lage gewicht en het lage zwaartepunt.

Cette ISR n'est pas une double embrayage mais une boîte robotisée à simple embrayage qui passe les vitesses en 50 millisecondes et pèse moitié moins qu'une DCT comparable. La suspension avant est un système pushrod repris directement de la Formule 1. Un exemplaire de 2016 est la dernière année de production de la LP700-4 avant que Lamborghini ne la remplace par la LP740-4 S. Cet exemplaire est peint en New Giallo Orion.
Anecdote: Lamborghini a délibérément choisi l'ISR plutôt qu'une boîte à double embrayage. L'ISR pèse moitié moins qu'une DCT comparable et a les dimensions compactes d'une boîte manuelle standard, contribuant directement à la faible masse totale et au bas centre de gravité.
