After more than 20 years of cherished ownership in dry storage, this 1965 Left-Hand-Drive (LHD) Volkswagen T1 Split Screen Microbus is ready for its next custodian.
Originally from Austria and later imported and registered in Belgium, this bus was enjoyed at local events during the summer months after a brake and steering system review, as well as an engine rebuild. Around 2014, it was carefully disassembled in preparation for a high-quality restoration. Despite the best intentions, the project was continually deferred as other priorities took precedence, creating a rare opportunity for an enthusiast or professional to complete the restoration.
A significant advantage of this vehicle is its complete transparency. Because it is currently disassembled, every critical area can be thoroughly inspected. What you see is exactly what you get: an honest and solid base for restoration.
