Finished in the elegant and rarely seen combination of Brilliant Red (308) over extended Champagne Nappa leather (312), this example stands apart from the more common monochrome specifications. It is a car that manages to be both understated and distinctive a true reflection of 1990s BMW Individual character.
Engineering & Driving Experience
At its heart lies the legendary 3.8L S38B38 inline-six, producing 340 hp and paired with the 5-speed Getrag manual gearbox. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a 25% limited-slip differential, ensuring optimal traction and adding to the car’s dynamic, driver-focused character.
Engine-wise this is the final evolution of the E34 M5 the most powerful, most refined, and ultimately the last of the hand-assembled M5s. The result is a driving experience that feels mechanical, connected, and authentic a rare balance between performance and composure.

Originally delivered in Switzerland, this car has remained in long-term enthusiast ownership for the past 9 years.
It presents today as a remarkably well-preserved example, with a strong emphasis on originality:
- The car retains mostly original paint, with the underside and chassis still in factory finish a rare and highly desirable feature for collectors
- The engine bay remains exceptionally original, still showing factory stickers and protective Cosmoline coating
- The original running-in sticker is still present on the windshield, a rare surviving detail that further underlines the car’s originality and careful preservation
