The Porsche 928 GTS represents the absolute final chapter of Porsche’s legendary transaxle V8 era. Built as Porsche’s flagship grand tourer, the 928 was always a very different kind of Porsche: faster, more refined and effortlessly comfortable at high speed in a way few cars from its time could ever achieve. Today, the GTS stands as the most desirable and collectible version of the entire 928 lineage, produced in limited numbers and increasingly appreciated by enthusiasts and collectors worldwide.
This particular example immediately separates itself from ordinary 928 GTS models thanks to both its provenance and specification. Delivered new in Germany on March 16th 1993, the car was first registered to Porsche AG itself. Porsche naturally kept some of the best and most interesting cars for internal use, and this GTS is a perfect example of that philosophy.
The specification is simply outstanding. Finished in the factory special order colour Piniengrünmetallic (L999), the car changes character beautifully depending on the light, moving from deep metallic green to dark olive and almost black tones. It gives the wide GTS body an incredibly elegant and understated look. Inside, the car features a special order leather interior with colour code 99, referring to a non standard Porsche interior combination. The atmosphere inside feels pure early 1990s Porsche luxury: solid, refined and built to last. Even today, the materials and overall quality still feel incredibly impressive.

Powered by the legendary 5.4 litre naturally aspirated V8 producing 350 hp, paired with the correct 4 speed automatic gearbox, the driving experience is smooth, powerful and incredibly relaxed. Roughly 85% of all 928 GTS models were delivered with the automatic transmission, exactly as Porsche intended for its flagship GT. This remains one of the truly great autobahn cruisers of its era, capable of covering enormous distances at high speed with remarkable ease and stability.
The car also benefits from a highly complete and well preserved history file including the original service books, manuals, old German Fahrzeugbrief, TÜV reports, invoices, supporting documentation and both original keys.
