The Ferrari 550 Maranello represents one of the most important chapters in modern Ferrari history. Introduced in 1996, it marked the return of the front-engined V12 grand tourer paired with a traditional six-speed gated manual gearbox. Today it is widely regarded as the last truly analogue manual V12 production Ferrari, offering a pure driving experience that modern supercars can no longer replicate.
At its heart lies Ferrari’s magnificent 5.5-litre naturally aspirated V12, producing 485 horsepower and 568 Nm of torque.
Combined with the iconic open-gate six-speed manual transmission, the 550 delivers a wonderfully engaging and mechanical driving experience. Performance remains highly impressive: 0100 km/h in approximately 4.4 seconds and a top speed of over 320 km/h. Beyond the numbers, the 550 is celebrated for its balance between serious performance and grand touring comfort.
Designed by Pininfarina, the 550 Maranello is widely considered one of the most beautiful Ferrari designs of the modern era, with its perfectly proportioned long-bonnet V12 layout and timeless, muscular silhouette.
The example offered here is finished in elegant Grigio Titanio over a charcoal grey and black leather interior, a classic and timeless specification.
What makes this car particularly special is its rare factory configuration. It was delivered with the highly desirable Fiorano Handling Package, developed by Ferrari to bring the driving characteristics closer to those of the cars tested on Ferrari’s Fiorano circuit. Featuring revised suspension settings, uprated anti-roll bars and specific calibration, the package significantly sharpens the car’s handling and driver engagement.
In addition, this car was specified through the exclusive Carrozzeria Scaglietti Programme, and features carbon fibre F50 bucket seats and a roll cage, giving the car an even more focused and motorsport-inspired character.
Combined with the Fiorano Handling Package, these elements make the car closely comparable to the highly sought-after Ferrari 550 WSR (World Speed Record) models, of which only 33 examples were ever produced.
This 550 Maranello was delivered new in France by Pozzi Ferrari and has had only three owners from new. The last owner acquired the car in 2004 and kept it for an impressive 22 years. The car is 100% accident free, retains its original exhaust, and is accompanied by its original books, toolkit and an extensive history file.
The file contains numerous service invoices as well as multiple MOT reports verifying the mileage throughout the years.
