De 964-versie van de Porsche 911 die in 1989 werd gelanceerd, werd destijds als nogal futuristisch beschouwd vanwege de integratie van de bumpers in koetswerkkleur. Terugkijkend past de 964 nu netjes in de geschiedenis van Porsche in de aanloop naar de 993-modellen die afscheid namen van een lange geschiedenis van luchtgekoelde 911’s.
Hoewel de 964 er vrij gelijkend uitzag ten opzichte van zijn voorgangers, was 87 procent van de componenten volgens Porsche nieuw of opnieuw ontworpen.
Deze 964 Carrera 4 in het supermooie Midnight blue metallic met donker blauw lederen interieur werd op 13 september 1991 in Duitsland uitgeleverd aan zijn eerste eigenaar.
